YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
These are our most frequently asked questions about the services LEPAT provides. If you have any additional questions, contact us.
Q. What types of law enforcement agencies can you help?
A. We can help all types of law enforcement: police, sheriffs, troopers, highway patrol, court services, corrections, park wardens, conservation officers, and all federal law enforcement.
Q. What is involved in creating a new, valid, physical ability testing program?
A. Setting up a new physical testing standard, whether for applicants or incumbent officers requires some expertise. To be sure your new standard is valid and will be accepted by the courts if challenged, certain criteria must be met prior during the initial stages of test development. A research component is essential and must contain content, criterion, and construct validity components.
Very Helpful!
The opportunity to practice for the POPAT was incredibly valuable - I went 3 times! I can’t imagine trying to do the test without the familiarity and comfort provided by my practice sessions at LEPAT. I barely passed the POPAT during my first session with LEPAT, and through practice I was able to lower my time by a full 30 seconds!
Your advice and tips were very helpful in helping me to improve my time! Thanks!
